Smiley (The Smiling Man) is an ongoing character project and evolving story world.

Long before thought, before dreams were even possible, four primordial beings existed: the Darkness, the Light, the Void, and the Dream. Smiley, also known as the Dream, is one of these entities, a being who exists within a world of his own creation.

The many versions of Smiley are not separate characters but reflections of him, each shaped by the shifting nature of the dream world he inhabits.
