Creating my vision

Martian Madness: From Idea to Reality

Starting my first book was no small undertaking. It demanded focus, discipline, and consistency. I spent three hours every weekend, two hours on weekdays, and pushed myself forward with constant pep talks just to keep going and create new pages. There were moments I wanted to stop but I didn’t. I finished it.

Martian Madness is the result of that time and effort. This activity book draws heavy inspiration from the bold, imaginative cartoons of the 70s and 80s; an era that shaped the way I see characters, energy, and creativity. This book is my take on that spirit, and I’m proud to finally put it out into the world.

Along the way, I learned a lot about my process; what worked and what didn’t. What surprised me most was that the hardest part wasn’t the drawing or even creating the activities. It was managing my time, stepping into the role of editor, and holding myself accountable to the work. No one was there pushing me; I had to push myself.

Finishing this book taught me that creating something isn’t just about talent; it’s about discipline, structure, and showing up even when you don’t feel like it. This was more than just making a book. It was learning how to follow through.

And now, this is just the beginning.
